*The Dick Hoffman award is given each year to a person who has demonstrated commitment to the league that demonstrates the true spirit of the league whether that be through leadership (e.g. member of Executive Committee), support, and commitment (e.g. coaching). Dick Hoffman was a long-time league member and a long-time participant in the then growing gay MN sports scene. Dick's commitment to sports and the camaraderie that we create by participating in sports was an example to all who knew him. He helped to create and maintain an environment that is open, inclusive, and fosters friendship and sportsmanship. Dick died in the mid 1990's from complications due to AIDS.
